The entire placement process takes three-to-four months. Through a series of on-campus presentations and hundreds of job postings, you have the opportunity to learn about recruiting companies from India and across the world. Placements commence with a series of pre-placement talks (PPT) by recruiters to the student body about the organisation, their philosophy and their expectations. Students respond by submitting ‘expressions of interest (EOI)‘ to them.

The Indian School of Business, for the second time consecutively, has set new benchmarks for placements in 2005. The highest international CTC of $181,000 (Rs 80 lakhs) was in league with the offers received by students from Ivy League schools. The average international CTC at $100,000 (Rs 44 lakhs) recorded a jump of 19% from 2004. The highest Indian CTC at the ISB this year was Rs 20 lakhs and the average Indian CTC stands at Rs 10 lakhs, representing a rise of 11% from last year
The Class of 2005 had 273 students, of which 251 participated in the placements. 150 companies participated in the placement out of which only 84 could make the final offers. A total of 344 offers were made to the students.

The ISB Class of 2006 has 345 students, of which 328 participated in the Placements Process and over 145 companies visited the ISB for recruitments this year.
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has scripted a new success story with placements touching new highs for the Class of 2006. Four ISB graduates have bagged offers that have broken the USD 200,000 mark. While the highest CTC offer recorded at the ISB is USD 233,800 (Rs. 1.04 crore approx.), the average international CTC at USD 120,700 (Rs 53.5 lakhs) is a 21% jump over 2005. On the home turf, the highest domestic CTC at the ISB this year stood at Rs. 30.33 lakhs while the average Indian CTC is Rs.11.77 lakhs, reflecting an increase of 18% from last year. » Continue reading…

For the first time since the last five years, the ISB attracted companies from Australia and Italy. Leading companies based in Germany, Switzerland, Middle East, USA, UK, Singapore etc visited the campus. This year, a company recruited two groups of students as core management teams to run stand alone businesses. These groups of 4/5 students will be responsible for setting up the project from Ground Zero and leading it to become a success.

Placements Highlights - 2008
Placements 2008 have been truly global at the ISB with several leading and niche international companies visiting the campus. The ISB has 100% lateral placements as all its students come with prior work experience. This year a total of 81% students made remarkable career shifts as well. This is the highest percentage of career shifts at the ISB so far. Of the 81% career shifts, 50% were shifts both in function and industry, 21% were career shifts in function and the remaining 10% were shifts in industry. » Continue reading…
